Custom Photo Tours & Private Workshops

Want a custom tour or private workshop? I’m available for hire for single or multi-day adventures. While I am based out of Kanab, UT, you can hire me to guide all over the US and beyond. I specialize in the American Southwest and Alaska, getting you well off the beaten path to capture one of a kind shots. Private workshops are great because you and I can tailor them to your specific needs and physical skill level. Want something more low-key and easy on the feet? I can arrange that. Want to do an epic 20 mile backpacking trip through the wilderness? I can arrange that too. The sky is the limit, from drone photography to canyoneering.

What should I expect on a custom tour?

For most custom tours, we start very early in the morning to arrive at a sunrise location. I will help by finding compositions, reacting to the light and giving my critique. After photographing the sunrise, we’ll get breakfast and edit photos you took from that morning in Lightroom and Photoshop. These editing sessions will be recorded and sent to you digitally. After a midday break, we will head to our sunset location where we will again find unique compositions and make the best use of the light.

My goal is to get you the best and most unique photographs possible. This often means changing plans or redirecting based on weather conditions. I keep a close eye on weather forecasts to react and place us in the most photogenic and opportunistic landscapes.
